A poem on memory by Kristian Espinoza.
De La Olla
It’s the half-washed pots
The smoke stained walls
School photos colonized
By dust
Floors covered in mixed colored
Rugs
The thin paged bible devoured by
Highlighter marks
It’s this house tata bought for nana
That produced the best beans.
Beans I won’t taste anywhere else.
